1.) When you debark from the ferry, follow the cars up the dock and straight through the intersection. There is usually a policeman directing traffic. Get in the middle lane as you go down the hill and just continue straight. You will pass the beautiful Oak Bluffs harbor on your right - and just keep going.
2.) Eventually, a road will merge into yours from the left as your road curves to the right.
3.) You will simply follow the road that you are on as it turns to the right, and this should be very clear. You will pass by Martha’s Vineyard Hospital on your left, and go over our new drawbridge into Vineyard Haven.
4.) At your first intersection, (there is no light or stop sign) called “five corners”, there are five different routes: a 90 degree left, (which is the one you want), straight ahead to continue up into Vineyard Haven, a right toward the Steamship ferry, or a very sharp turn to the right that would bring you to the water and the Black Dog Restaurant. Take that left and drive past the Vineyard Haven US Post Office on your right, and continue over a narrow bridge where you will see the lagoon on your left.
5.) Take a right on your first road, which will be Skiff Avenue.
6.) You will curve around to the right, then start to curve to the left. You will see Hilltop Haven on the hill, on your left. The driveway goes uphill, there is a blue front door and the number 141 is above the door. The driveway is almost directly across from Causeway Road on your right, which also would take you into town the other way.
If you rented Hilltop Haven Main House, it is the first large house at the top of the driveway. If you rented Hilltop Haven Guest Cottage, it is passed the main house on the right. Each house has its own separate fenced in yard.

2.) At the “five corners” intersection there are five different routes: a sharp left into a narrow road, a soft left onto a main road, straight ahead or right onto a main road. You want to go straight across the intersection. You will drive past the Vineyard Haven U.S. Post Office on your right and continue over a narrow bridge. The lagoon will be on the other side of the bridge, on your left.
