This location and host are as good as it gets. This house literally in the middle of town. You walk out and you are right next to Backdoor Donuts, literally the best donuts I have ever had and even better because they are open at midnight. The house is perfect, beautiful, clean, and has everything you could ever want and so so much more. The Jacuzzi is magical, the outdoor shower was my favorite thing about Martha's Vineyard, and the big open kitchen makes for a great social environment to the home. The host Sharon is the best host I have ever experienced. She greeted us when we got there with suggestions for where to eat and even ran out to get us some menus from new places. She has a great welcome letter that covers all the details of the house. There is also a folder with tons of great suggestions for things to do and places to go. She even put together a perfect day on the island to give you her perfect day mapped out. We went all over the island and I can not imagine a more central wonderful place to stay. We got so lucky finding this place and Sharon was so wonderful helping us plan our trip. If you find this listing and it is open, snag it quick!

This was one of the best vacations I have ever experienced. As soon as my husband and I stepped foot onto Martha's Vineyard we were immediately overwhelmed by the beauty of the island. It was as if all our stress and cares had been taken away in the wind. From the booking process through recommendations for dinner and outings, Sharon was a superb host.Her home was perfectly cleaned and in a great location for shopping, dining and breathtaking views. Sharon even had small surprises for us at every corner. We could not have asked for more for our one year anniversary and can not wait to visit MV again.

I cannot begin to describe how sweet the location of this place is. You are right in the heart of Oak Bluffs. In one direction you have great food and shopping, and in another you have an incredible park and down the bike path is a glorious public beach! Sharon's home is so warm and accommodating, just like her. (Warm in the metaphorical sense, the house had great air conditioning!) I couldn't imagine finding a better place to rent during our trip to Martha's Vineyard. And she has a great DVD collection to boot ;)

Perfect Vineyard Getaway! We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Hilltop Cottage. The Cottage itself is smartly designed and provided enough room to accommodate our party of 4 adults, a baby, and 25lb dog. Conveniently located to Main Street Vineyard Haven, the cottage was a 10-min walk to restaurants, shops, and the beach. More property highlights include a fenced-in yard, patio space and grill, outdoor shower, and a fire pit. In addition to the cottage itself, the owner, Sharon, is wonderful to rent from. She is responsive, organized, and absolutely lovely. We highly recommend the Hilltop Cottage for your next trip to the Vineyard, and hope to return ourselves next summer!

My family and I stayed at Sharon's Tisbury home this past week and it was thebest vacation we have ever taken. It was my family's first time visiting Martha's Vineyard and the welcome packet and links Sharon sent me allowed me to show my family the best time ever! When we arrived Sharon had placed a bottle of wine and chocolate on the table as a welcome treat and the home was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. We walked to town for dinner and grilled at house a few nights. This house was well worth it!

Staying in Sharon's cottage was like staying with a great friend; it felt like a big hug from the moment Sharon started communicating with us about the rental to when my family and I walked into the flat. Sharon was so kind from the beginning, helping me plan a dream trip for my family. The weather also got quite bad, forcing us to modify our travel plans, and we found ourselves on the island a day early without lodgings. We were going to find a hotel for a night, but Sharon came to the rescue and allowed us to stay in her upstairs apartment for the night. I really believe that Sharon is a genuine heart who works in this business to positively influence people's lives, at least that's what she did during our vacation, and I can't imagine wanting to rent from anyone else on the island. But that's about Sharon; let's also talk about her house. AMAZING! Super cute. Super comfortable. And that Viking range was a dream to sear some fresh scallops on! The quintessential Martha's Vineyard experience in the perfect location that makes you smile when you walk in the door. Thank you, Sharon, for making our vacation special!

Finally! We've found our perfect MV getaway, and are already planning to return to this same property next year (and for years to come). With 3 kids and a dog, it's been difficult to find rentals that suit our entire family. However, after finding this gem, we could not have asked for a better vacation! Sharon went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and she includes many extras that most rentals don't ... beach chairs, towels, blankets, etc. The house itself is well-kept, spacious, and has tons of upgrades that make you momentarily forget that you're staying in an island getaway home! We really appreciated the updated kitchen, the sunroom with tons of board games, the cable/wifi setup with Apple TV, the high-end washer dryer, and the amazing patio complete with a Weber grill. We genuinely could not have asked for a better place to stay, and look forward to returning for years to come. Beautiful, spacious, tons of amenities, perfect!

This is a heart house with amazing craftsmanship deep to the bones of the space. Sharon has poured her heart and soul into this place over 10 years, and is now renting out the space for others to experience. The quality and feeling of the space is amazingly restful. The space is BEAUTIFUL, and the main living room feels like a ship. My boyfriend is an engineer by trade, and a meticulous craftsman in all else, and he loved the floors, walls, beams, space, Viking stove, fridge, cabinets -- everything done to great and fine detail. We rented this space as our family was staying nearby -- 16 of them in one house -- and we wanted our own retreat. It was perfect. I loved the front gate with the roses, the two-person hot tub, the outdoor shower, and the courtyard where we cracked crab. And Sharon herself is an amazing person, who supplied us with all the guidance and resources for an amazing trip. Perfect. This is also a place I would feel quite peaceful in renting alone as a solo woman traveler (I do a fair bit of travel). It just feels safe and lovely; restorative.

Best vacation week! Thank you again for making our vacation the best week we have ever had (no exaggeration). It was truly amazing and your house and the detailed preparation was THE key factor. From the outside shower (the biggest hit), the fire pit, the wonderful stocked kitchen and the great screened porch. We LOVED every square inch of the place and appreciate the treatment you gave us the night we 'thought' we had a refrigerator problem. I work in the travel business and have to stay away from home more than half of the year. So when 'vacation' time arrives, it seems like more of the same in most incidences. But this week was not the case and I felt so 'at home' in your house that I truly could've just stayed there forever.

We stayed at this charming, cozy cottage for our honeymoon. Sharon had a celebratory bottle of wine waiting for us and everything was just right. We enjoyed the hot tub late one afternoon after a long bike ride. The location was excellent - five minute walk to the ferry and many restaurants nearby (Sharon's recommendations were spot on) and great bus service to all parts of the island. Also, Sharon's inspiring book collection almost had us hoping for a rainy day.

Gorgeous Cottage for a perfection vacation on MV. My family of 4 stayed in this cottage for our first trip for Martha's Vineyard and I have to say it exceeded all of our expectations. We have a 4 yo and an almost 2 yo. The 4 yo slept in the twin bed and we brought a pack n play for the little one. The cottage has all the amenities you would hope for minus a microwave - and it is all gorgeous and new. Great out door space and close to everything. We were able to bike to many places and were only a short drive from all the gorgeous beaches. Can't wait to come back next year!!

What a great time in Oak Bluffs at Sharon's beautiful upstairs apartment. I stayed with my girlfriend and our dog. The apartment is exactly what it looks like on the website; welcoming, private, and beautiful with lots of light streaming in. We loved the location which if you are worried about driving after enjoying some wine with your sunset and dinner, will be perfect. The house is a short walk to the best restaurants and bars. The bed is divine, and this is coming from someone who is very particular and misses my own bed when ever I sleep out. Linens, towels and kitchen tools were all VERY nice. I think this should be mentioned since staying in many Air BnBs where towels and sheets are subpar or pots and pans/spatulas are not present in the kitchen. Sometimes I even bring my own towels and sheets, this is NOT necessary here. I appreciated being able to make beautiful breakfasts and enjoying them on the back porch. Sharon as a host was exactly what I look for. She was there when we needed something but not often seen or heard from when not. She sent me an incredible packet with all the research I was about to do in an easy to read format. Restaurants, bars, hikes and beaches all included, she even has a dog friendly suggestions. She helped us with parking and even offered to help us unpack our car. She was really the best host I have had yet on Air BnB. This is an apartment/whole house I would LOVE to return to, don't miss this opportunity to stay in the perfect apartment on MV.

This house was fantastic, and we loved staying here. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. A ton of little extras were provided to make you feel at home. The location was great- a bit removed from town, so it was nice and quiet but a short walk to town. The bedrooms were all beautiful, and the deck was perfect for having our morning breakfast on. Sharon was available electronically and responded very quickly to any issues/requests/questions. She also sent a great list of suggestions which we used everyday! I would definitely stay here again!

Sharon is an awesome host, everything we needed was provided to us from the minute we got there until the minute we left. The apartment is just as cozy as it was described in the Airbnb post. The location is right off of circuit which is where all of the bars and shops and restaurants are located. If you plan on having a good time in the neighborhood you don't have to worry about driving home. This was our first experience with Airbnb and we have to say that it is not going to be our last. Staying at Sharon's apartment was like staying with friends.

Best location on the island if you're looking for a fun vacation, close to shops and restaurants. Place had everything you'd need and Sharon was more than accommodating. She gave us great advice about where to go and what to see on the island. She even had a bottle of wine for us when we got there to celebrate our honeymoon. Definitely stay here again! Place was clean and perfect for two people, could easily fit four. Park and the beach are less than a 5 minute walk, we didn't really end up needing our bikes much after all!!

This home was perfect for our family of 4. I was looking for something spacious, so I was happy to book a house with more rooms than we really needed. The house itself is lovely and very comfortable and the location is nice too. I liked being right in-between Oak bluffs and Edgartown. Very convenient to both ferries. The homeowner, Sharon is truly adorable, very friendly and also accommodating. I would definitely book this property again or might try her other property in Oak bluffs which looks ADORABLE too. Sharon's place was a dream. Perfectly cozy and clean, and had a lot of character. It was perfect for a couples getaway. Sharon left us wine and chocolate which was such a nice touch for our romantic getaway. Everything is so close and walking distance. She provided everything you would need including beach chairs and umbrellas. We definitely will be back, either with our kids or friends!

Great time at Sharon's place! My wife and I contacted Sharon day of to stay in her house. When we got there it was ready to go, super clean, anything you could want during your stay was available to us. Sharon was really cool, invited us down to her NYE party, offered to give us some of her groceries, had some champagne waiting for us upstairs, showed us local run routes, etc. Definitely a great place to stay with good company, right down town, we didn't even bring our car with us.

What a beautiful apartment! We stayed here for a week and had the most wonderful time. Sharon has filled the apartment with special touches - - be sure to check out the big binder of info that she has on the desk, which is full of maps, brochures, and hand-typed notes that Sharon has included for guests, complete with hand written hints and tips! The apartment was very clean, well furnished (a lot of sitting room!), and in the perfect location for many vineyard activities. The backyard is equally lovely and a wonderful place to spend cool evenings (there is a fire pit and a hot tub!). Additionally, Sharon was wonderful and kept in touch with us our entire stay to make sure that everything was going well. Trust me when I say you will not find a more concerned and excellent host!! She addressed all of our questions immediately and went above and beyond to help us out - - I cannot say enough good things about her! Oak Bluffs is a wonderfully active town and kept us busy and entertained, but don't forget to check out the other vineyard towns - they are all amazing! You will not be sorry that you rented this apartment - book today!

Heaven! We spent a week here in June 2010 – three grown ups and three teens. It is certainly one of the very nicest places we have ever stayed. The rooms are large with high ceilings, architectural detail and lots of windows. In addition to the interior space there is a large screened porch, a deck with grill, and Adirondack chairs out in the grass. Also space outside for badminton. The house is furnished in a style I would call “country elegant.” Everything is very simple and yet clearly thoughtfully arranged. Large, fully appointed and well lighted kitchen. Two of the four bedrooms have their own simple half baths while the upstairs hall bath is upgraded and with enough extra space to include an armed chair. Master bedroom has an ample closet I wish I could bring home with me. The house is on top of a hill and the breezes are wonderful. It is also walking distance to town – this was great when we dropped the boys off to play tennis and then they could walk home. A short morning walk brings you to a great view of sunrise over the water. Despite the proximity to things the house is very private and the neighborhood quiet. The immediate neighborhood is an older, well settled area with great gardens and feels very safe – we never locked the doors. For all the attractions and temptations of MV we were willing to go out, but it always felt great to get back and just spend time at the house.

We love this house! My extended family stayed here for a combined wedding + reunion in MV. It was perfect in every way. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, immaculately clean, charming MV architecture, and incredibly well equipped for vacationing families. Many things that I automatically pack (beach towels, first aid kit, writing materials, laundry soap, favorite cooking spices, etc. etc.) were not used or needed because the house had everything, even dog bowls. After unpacking, we settled in so quickly that we felt right at home - better, actually - by the first evening. The house has a great location atop a hill and is close to the center of activity in Vineyard Haven. The kitchen is big and very well-equipped, perfect for my sisters and I to cook together. The living and dining areas also accommodate big families very well, with a large central area, comfortable sofas and chairs, and a nook for Uncle to nap or Auntie to read. There was also great sun room for little kids to play or big kids to hang out, and a back deck where the adults spent a lot of time. Lots of board games, plus internet and media access, too. The owners made our family very welcome, and were always available for questions about the house or island. We all agreed that we would come back, and would enthusiastically recommend this house to others. To the owners: thank you again for making our family so welcome, the stay so comfortable, and our vacation such fun for all.

Sharon was amazing. Super accommodating and very kind. When she learned we were bringing our toddler she very generously bought a pack n play with a special cozy mattress for our child to use. We were so impressed and thankful! The accommodations were clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The outside shower is quite a treat and the location of the home is very convenient. Wonderful Home Away From Home. Staying in this beautiful home helped to make our first visit to Martha's Vineyard much more relaxing and memorable. Every attention to detail was paid in setting up this home for guests. Everything you need for a pleasant stay is at your finger tips. What you see in the listing photos is completely accurate...beautifully maintained and super clean. The owners had lots of great information on places to visit and Vineyard activities. The house is conveniently located close to the Vineyard Haven Ferry, shopping, and several top notch eateries. Walking distance to The Black Dog Tavern and shops, Art Cliff Diner (awesome breakfast!), and The Net Result fish market/restaurant...all of which we enjoyed thoroughly. We took daily walks with our dog by Lagoon Pond, and and loved the close proximity to Oaks Bluffs (by car). Close to kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurf shops. We just got home and our kids can't wait to go back! Definitely recommend this home away from home!
